形態特徵

Shrubs or small trees, deciduous; branchlets pubescent.
Leaves chartaceous, ovate on fertile branchlets, 5–8 cm long, 3–4.5 cm broad, apex acuminate or acute, base acute, serrate, upper surface glabrescent, minutely glandular, lower surface stellate tomentose, oblong to elliptic on sterile branchlets, 3–6 cm long, 2–4 cm broad, shallowly dentate, upper surface pubescent to glabrescent and minutely glandular, lower surface densely stellate tomentose; midrib and veins impressed on upper surface, raised on lower surface; lateral veins 7 or more per side, straight-ascending, ending in marginal teeth, reticulation indistinct on upper surface, distinct on lower surface; petiole 5–10 mm long, pubescent.
Inflorescences compound cymes, broad, rusty tomentose, terminating on lateral branchlets. Flowers white, ca. 3 mm across; calyx pubescent; corolla rotate, 5-lobed, lobes spreading.
Fruits red, globose, 4–5 mm across.

分布

台灣 : very common at low elevations throughout the island.
世界 : Indochina, China, the Philippine and Malaysia.
